Solid playing & Aud/SBD mix
I wasn't able to find a ticket last minute and even if I had, probably would have been late for the official after party w/U-Melt @ Highline Ballroom. If Jim had to leave early to get to the after party (not to mention the transportation of his gear)... chances are I wouldn't have been able to get there in time had I been at Radio City Music.
I listened to this mix a week or so after the '08 new year rang in. I just took another listen after having seen[heard] Covington, Knoxville(<-rockin'!) & Charlotte shows this past tour. Killer REC CHEM.
Despite the status (now defunct) U-Melt; check out SBDs with Jim sitting in on 8 tunes.

Wooow
Woow, hell yea a SBD patch of the 07-08 NYE show. Typically moe. won't allow SBD patch's but this is moe.s present for Christmas-NYE. SO glad this got captured and put on archive. This is a 7 out of 5 quality recording. Such a unique crisp tone from all the members. This is getting downloaded when I get home from work. Thanks for taking up the last two hours of my work day with this awesome show. Just made the 2 hours fly by. Long live moe.

moe.tastic!
This was an incredible show! At an incredible venue! Got tickets that night 10th row, chuckside. Hung out with a girl who brought a puppet ostrich. Marvelled over the discoball when all the lights were shinning on it. Al tore it up and almost busted out of his suit. My best friend's first moe. show & the played Letter Home! Opener couldn't have been better. Even a glimpse of the new cd - Raise a Glass. I'm impressed and love moe. more and more each time I see them. This show is a GEM! download it - -- immediately.

what a great gift from the band!
on my way over to buy some merch or livedownloads to say thanks...
and btw, Anaheim show last night was among the best i've seen, especially the first set: reasonably low-key but high quality for sure, fun SSM, and the breakout All Roads, my favorite "new" song...

NEW YEARS EVE!!!!!
This is one of the better shows in terms of sound on the archive including some soundboard recordings. It is excellent. Excellent setlist as well. Great segues as well. Saw moe. once for a New Years run (1999 at the Chance in Poughkeepsie). Ended up bringing my future wife. Happy Hour Hero is our song. I owe a lot to moe. and they never disappoint. This show reflects that.

What can be said? In NC at a party all I could think of was what I was missing at R City, and it blows away my expectations. Thanks moe. for allowing the patches, and a special thanks to Alex for the wonderful work as always.

matrix info
the matrix is the band's standard SBD + AKG 414's at the side of the stage into a mackie 1202 mixer. i believe they use a limiter (used to be a behringer composer) on the mics to keep them from overtaking the louder parts of the show. the outs from the 1202 went directly into the mini-me at line level via XLR.
the band gave permission via email for this show, the Highline show in May, and las NYE SBDs to be on the archive.

great show, download asap. Great recording Alex, love the Matrix. Curious... whats the SB/Aud Split? Flipjam, Like your Interesting question/request ... I am also wondering what it would sound like with a heavier audience (or more ambient) sound. Don't get me wrong, I DO love this recording... Moe is on top of there game and this recording proves it!!!!

best new years ever
despite the odd choice of raise a glass at the new year, radio city was rocking hard all night. first set was short but sweet. wind it up and rebubula highlighted the second set, then the roof was torn down from the brent black all the way through a stellar version of george. great quality of a great show. highly recommended
